Data Inventory and Assessment: The Data Inventory and Assessment Working Group shall identify framework datasets for Connecticut, establish individual subcommittees tasked to evaluate, document and provide recommendations for each framework dataset, and establish policies, standards and general procedures for the submission, evaluation, maintenance, on-line access, and dissemination of all geospatial data within the purview of the Council.
 
Legal and Security: Reviews court decisions and pending litigation to determine the impact on the industry. The Committee also serves as a forum for the discussion and analysis of key legal questions affecting the industry.

Education and Outreach: The Education and Outreach Working Group's mission is to identify training needs of Connecticut Geospatial community, to facilitate training opportunity and to promote geospatial education through outreach, creative programs and online resources.
 
Finance: Identify existing and new funding resources for the CTGIS council and the State of Connecticut in GIS matters to support the Strategic Plan.
